How would your life be if you lived by the words in the title above…? Can you imagine the ease of living? Just welcoming whatever shows up without resisting. Including everything without trying to ignore it, battle it, or shift it.
Change is constant. One of my teachers used to say "If you don't like the way things are, simply wait. It'll change." And, conversely, things will also change even when you DO like the way they are.
Life and consciousness are in flow. All our attempts to stop that flow only has the effect of hurting us. Imagine how much of your energy and attention is used trying to do something as useless as warding off change. We contract and suffer, but the change does not cease.
When we "go with the flow" we preserve all our energy for creation. As we open to allow what is we can stay in stillness. Stillness is a vast reservoir of intelligence from which you can draw to "course correct" continuously. Each creative adjustment keeps you pointed in the direction of your truest desires.
To keep pointed to True Desires, you can use these steps:
• Breathe deeply. Breath is an easy and ever-available way to connect with your body and to come into the present moment. From the present moment you can open to allow what is.
• Stay curious. Curiosity increases possibilities immediately. No longer are you "fixed" in a given perspective but rather you are really open to see what is so without conclusion. You'll shift immediately from "knowing" to allowing.
• Clarify and strengthen your desires. One gift of change is that it provides you the opportunity to look again at what you deeply desire and at your values for a successful life. Each time you clarify your desires they become stronger.
• Ask for guidance. Now you can ask again for support in realizing your desires. You can ask your non-ego Self (higher Self, spirit) or higher or divine consciousness to provide a path through the change that leads you ever-closer to your desires.
• Wait and trust. Prayers made in flow are always answered. So, wait for your requests to be manifest with confidence. No rushing. No expectations. Just calm assurance and active anticipation.
• Express gratitude. Gratitude is an open-hearted place of being that increases flow and accelerates the gifts of the change. The most powerful time to be thankful is when your ego cannot find a single thing to give thanks for.
Float freely on the tides of change. Use the steps above and this mantra to show you how: "I love what comes…I love what goes."
